Lanzarote
Half a day birding in the desert area produced several Houbara Bustard, one group of Cream Coloured Coursers and Trumpeter Finch. Also seen on rest of holiday were Berthelots Pipit, Spanish Sparrow coming for bread at the hotel and several Plain Swifts

Tenerife
Lovely week of sunshine, warmth and endemic species. Species list included Blue Chaffinch, Canary Islands Chiffchaff, Atlantic Canary, Berthelot's Pipit, Spectacled Warbler, Laurel Pigeon, Bolle's Pigeon, Barbary Falcon, Barbary Partridge, African Blue Tit, Tenerife Goldcrest, Tenerife subspecies of Greater Spotted Woodpecker, Whimbrel, Ring necked Parakeet and Raven. Also in abundance were Tenerife Lizards
