Pacific Golden Plover
A family trip to Newcastle provided the excuse to divert to Boulmer in Northumberland on the way home where I had excellent views of a summer plumage Pacific Golden Plover
Icterine Warbler and Collared Flycatcher
Lovely day birding at Spurn in warm sunshine. Finally got good views of an Icky after probably seeing one briefly at Spurn a few years ago. Also seen were the fist winter Collared Flycatcher that had been trapped and ringed a couple of days before. Also present were a Red backed Shrike and a probable brief view of Barred Warbler
Update! DNA analysis confirmed the flycatcher was in fact a Pied Flycatcher...

Lammergeier!
Lammergeier in the Peak district! Worth the 10 miles of walking to watch this massive bird floating in the air. Also saw Hobby and Merlin

Half a day birding in the desert area produced several Houbara Bustard, one group of Cream Coloured Coursers and Trumpeter Finch. Also seen on rest of holiday were Berthelots Pipit, Spanish Sparrow coming for bread at the hotel and several Plain Swifts
