Quail

I hit the jackpot today and managed to get a brief flight view of an elusive Quail near Broadstones reservoir. This was my third trip over and each time I have heard a Quail singing distantly from a field next to Windmill lane. Today I went round the corner turning down the lane to the left and the singing became very loud coming from some scrub. As I approached the bird suddenly appeared and I got good flight views through the bins. Well worth the effort in the end for this lifer
