Displaying singing Wheatear, drumming Snipe several male Ring Ouzel newly arrived including a mobile flock of 7 which just wouldnt stay put for a photo.  Local Little Owl making it sound and look like spring

First winter Glaucous Gull at Hollingworth Lake

Thought I better try and see some of this winter's Hawfinch explosion before they leave. Went to Rufford CP and saw 3 birds in flight in windy difficult conditions. Had much better views of a flock of up to 15 in a Darley Dale churchyard.

Nice Saturday birding trip to West Lancashire. Good selection of wildfowl and waders. The highlight were Corn Bunting off Curlew lane near Martin Mere
